I started this blog when I entered grad school in 2008, intending to cover all aspects of grad school in physics, from classes, to TA-ing, to grading, finding an advisor, adapting to a new city, and beginning research. As my research picked up, my blogging tailed off.
Now that I am entering my final year of grad school, I am reviving this blog to be more focused on current topics in my field of research: theoretical particle and nuclear physics. My thesis research focuses on holographic techniques for non-perturbative quantum chromodynamics, so I will begin there and see where that takes me.

heya! random solidarity from another semi-anonymous science blogger. I’m trying to find people who blog coherently about science subject other that my own (biochemistry) so i can keep up with all the things I’m not learning. I haven’t found a physicist yet, might have a saunter around your blog for a bit.
